With the release of Lily Allen's new album 'Sheezus', the pop diva takes her fair share of stabs at fellow artists; starting with Kanye West. Allen named the album as a 'little nod to Kanye', who released 'Yeezus' almost a year ago (June 2013). But she isn't stopping here.
In the album's title track "Sheezus", she shouts out several other female pop stars (Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lorde and Lady Gaga) in a way that isn't offensive, but... neutral. "Ri-Ri isn't scared of Katy Perry's roaring / Queen Bey's gone back to the drawing" Allen sings, while favoring Lorde: "Kid ain't one to fuck with when she's only on her debut" Yep, Lily Allen still isn't afraid to say what she wants to!
The album itself is just like her others; bold, but not too risky; inviting while still being captivating. Allen is a pro at capturing people's attention and staying in the news, as proven by 'Sheezus' tracks "Insincerely Yours" and "URL Badman". In these soon-to-be-hits, Allen admits to being obsessed with '[making] money, money, money' ("Insincerely Yours"), and arguing that 'for a bitch, it's hard' ("Hard Out Here").
Allen recently announced she would be headlining a North American tour come this fall, which would play 19 shows throughout the United States and Canada. It will be her first tour since 2010's 'It's Not Me, It's You' world tour.
