Taylor Swift is officially back. In a live chat with her fans ("Swifties") on Monday night, she revealed some big deets on her next album:
- It's name is "1989", symbolizing the year Swift was born.
- It will be released on October 27 (the day before Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter V"... That will be a tough race for the top spot).
- It's lead single "Shake It Off" was released Monday with a video.
- Swift described the album as "a happier place", and ensures it will not be like her other albums (so no more break-up stories...?)
"Shake it Off" is looking at a big debut on next week's charts. It continues to top the iTunes chart since it's release on Monday, and it has almost taken over radio stations nationwide.
Will "Shake it Off" be our next rare no. 1 debut? Find out this weekend when all charts will be updated!
