All charts were refreshed earlier today for the week of August 17, 2014, and there are some things on it you won't want to miss. So strap in, and take a gaze at our "Charts at a Glance" issue of the week.
MAGIC! adds a second week at no. 1 to their long list of achievements of their smash "Rude". The hit is also the most-streamed song of the week, giving it the top position on Streaming Songs, and Pop Songs as well.
Sam Smith rises 3-2 with "Stay with Me" on the Top 25, pushing Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" down a slot further. (Last week, "Fancy" fell 1-2 after a record-breaking, 9-week long streak atop the Top 25)
"Stay with Me" also sits at no. 2 on Pop Songs and Streaming Songs (both behind "Rude"). Despite this, "Stay" dethroned "Rude" on Adult Contemporary Songs when it rose 2-1 this week, giving Smith his first no. 1 on the chart.
Aside from being no. 2 on the Top 25, Smith holds the same position on the Rising 10 with 'In the Lonely Hour". Two weeks ago, the album reached the summit of the Rising 10, after only 5 weeks on the chart.
As mentioned above, Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" slips 2-3, but she remains strong on Hip-Hop Songs, where she and Charli XCX share the top spot for an earth-shattering 16th week. The duo breaks the BenBoard record for most weeks at no. 1 on any chart. The previous record was held by Avicii, when "Hey Brother" spent 14 weeks atop Dance Songs earlier this year.
Sam Smith makes another appearance at no. 4 with Disclosure ("Latch"). The song holds its place for the third week in a row at the fourth slot, and remains the same at no. 1 on Dance Songs for a fifth week. Despite its high performance on both charts, it fails to appear on Digital, Streaming or Adult Contemporary Songs.
Sia's "Chandelier" rises 6-5 on the Top 25, and 4-3 on Pop Songs. It also appears at no. 3 on Streaming Songs, no. 5 on Adult Contemporary Songs, and no. 8 on Digital Songs.
Three weeks ago, Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj debuted at no. 8 with their new single "Bang Bang", and it's been on the rise ever since. It jumps 7-6 this week on the Top 25, and 5-4 on Pop Songs. It also holds it's place at no. 2 on Digital Songs after debuting at the top on August 3rd.
Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong" slips 5-7 and 3-5 on the Top 25 and Pop Songs, respectively. However, it holds it's place at no. 6 on Streaming Songs, and appears at no. 7 on Adult songs.
