To honor this amazing feat (and its birthday), we're counting down the top five moments this past year where Ariana Grande shined the brightest.
May 11 - BenBoard Music Awards
We don't mean to toot our own horn, but Ariana Grande's fans were incredibly proud when her six nominations turned into four wins. Grande was crowned Best New Artist, her 'Arianators' won for Biggest Fans, and "The Way" took home Best Song—one of the 'Big Three' awards (she also won Best Pop Song). September 3 - Release of Yours Truly
Grande's first album Yours Truly debuted atop the Billboard 200, selling 138,000 units in less than one week. Two weeks before the album's release, "The Way" was certified double platinum by the RIAA.
November 24 - American Music Awards
It was the performance that got everyone talking; Grande received positive reviews for her performance at the AMAs this year, taking the stage with "Tattooed Heart". Dressed to impress in a sparkling red gown, she powered through the entire song, not missing a single word.
